Aim

The overall goal is to increase the opportunities of intercultural development and international cooperation among the persons, institutions and communities cooperated in the project.

Objectives:

1. To support the acquisition of interpersonal &”learning to learn” transversal competences among the 16 EVS volunteers (Georgia, Jordan, Ukraine, Russia), necessary for their active and responsible involvement in intercultural issues that directly affect them.

2. To support the acquisition of intercultural competences necessary for building a nondiscriminatory/inclusive behavior among 200 adolescents/youngsters (2 target groups) during the whole period of the project.


Description

During the project, volunteers from Ukraine, Russia, Georgia and Jordan will be developing a four-month campaign in schools on topics of intercultural education and justice, preventing crimes of bullying and prejudice, developing interethnic and interreligious dialogues, unity in diversity in the context of European values. Also there are planned some creative practical tasks: weekly experimental workshops on design of clothing; active simulation, informal education, development of interpersonal competences and informal journalism.

Activities during the project will include the following topics:

  • Interculturality and Equity through dialog and communication;

  • Interculturality and Equity through creative practical workshops;

  • Interculturality and Equity through Teambuilding Purple Club;

  • Interculturality and Equity through non-formal journalism.


Requirements

The volunteer should be between 18 and 30 years old. The profile of the volunteers is not strongly limited: organizers are looking for two open, active, unprotected young people who have a desire to be involved in volunteering, who are interested in the project and have not previously been EVS volunteers. Basic knowledge of English is a must.


Financial conditions

The project is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. All expenses for visa, insurance, accommodation, food and international travel costs are fully covered. The volunteer will also receive pocket money monthly.
